Rent a boat on the Göta Canal and Kinda Canal
Göta Kanal Charter offers organised canal journeys and sightseeing routes along the Göta Canal and the Kinda Canal. You follow one of our ready-made routes with selected stops and points of interest, and before departure you’ll get a personal briefing covering guidance, safety, and practical advice for locks and navigation.
During your journey you’ll have access to our route and guide material (maps and PDF guides) so you can easily experience the canal’s history, nature, and places along the way.
You are the skipper on board and you operate the boat yourself after our briefing. Our boats are 7.6–12 metres, and all routes start and end in Motala.
The standard setup is a one-week journey Saturday-Saturday; shorter options may be available when booked in advance.

Göta Kanal Charter has been renting out pleasure boats on the Göta Canal in Sweden since 1999. Since 2014, the business is owned and operated by Pontus Björsner.
